On the night between the nineteenth and twentieth century, during Eucharistic Adoration, then-seminarian James Alberione had a vision that would change his life and the lives of countless others. After his ordination, Alberione set the example for Catholics looking to evangelize the world using the media. Never content to stay with what was common to the time, he and his Pauline family-the ten religious congregations and institutions which Alberione founded consisting of bishops, priests, brothers, sisters, and laity numbering more than 10,000 in over sixty countries-pushed the boundaries of communications and media to bring the Catholic message.
With parts filmed on-location in Rome, and Alba in northern Italy, Media Apostle: The James Alberione Story is a glimpse into the life of Father James Alberione who was beatified by Saint John Paul II in 2003.
Follow Blessed James Alberione's journey from farm boy to media evangelizer in this intriguing 50-minute documentary. With input from members of his Pauline family from around the world, Media Apostle portrays the life and mission of this holy man who Saint John Paul II called, "the first apostle of the New Evangelization."
