Marilla’s beautiful new CD reminds us that although this devotion goes back to the Middle Ages, it has become better known, following the Vatican-approved Marian apparitions in Kibeho, Rwanda, in the 1980s. In her many apparitions in Kibeho, Our Lady asked specifically that we should pray the Rosary of the Seven Sorrows, promising that through this, we would receive abundant graces. Praying the Seven Sorrows reminds us of the key role played by Our Lady in our Redemption and of the suffering she endured along with her Son Jesus, to save us. Marilla leads us in praying the Seven Sorrows and sings excerpts from some beautiful hymns to Our Lady, featured in her Albums.
