The statue, in finely hand-painted resin, depicts Saint Rita on a dark brown square pedestal, holding a crucifix, a rosary and roses, her emblematic flower, in her hand. The symbolism of the rose refers to the episode in which the sick saint asked her cousin to bring her two figs and a rose from her father's garden.
